Final Task Production: Editing

Hi everyone!! Welcome back to my blog! We are back with another editing blog!! This time I will share more information on how Kylee's part in editing is coming along as well as suggestions I made. Let's begin!

Last time I discussed how Kylee was our main editor and Marissa and I would help her. Since my last blog there has been some changes made on how editing our project will run. Kylee asked our group if we were willing on splitting up our video into different days to make the process run more smoothly and easily. At first I was hesitant on how this would cause changes in the process but after Kylee explained more to me I caught on with the idea. We decided on splitting up our editing/planning into 3 days. This would ensure we got our tasks done on time and gave us a schedule on how to complete this process.

For the first day we worked on individually editing different clips and scenes. Kylee made the claim on editing the ending scenes first because she finds them the most fun and intriguing to edit. I chose to edit the opening scenes because I find the opening to be my strong suit with different editing techniques to start the video off strongly. This day is very essential because it allows each of us to work at our own pace and make edits to each section on how we think it would look best.

For day 2 we made revisions and added text and any effects we thought would look good with the section we worked on in day 1. This day just really allowed for creativity and was a testing and trial day. On this day I made sure I tried out different techniques and effects that I would not normally choose.

For our final day, we gathered as a trio to review our overall project. Since we can all share the project with each other on CapCut, this process was not difficult whatsoever! We all watched the video with each of our own edits before making an edits to see how the video flowed. I suggested we made some edits and transitions in between each section because at first the video was a little choppy between transitioning which parts we edited separately. After reviewing and revising our overall project, I was very happy with the results and I can not wait to share with you guys!

Unfortunately that is all I have for today. I am confident in this project and I am sure that you will enjoy it as well. Thanks for reading! Come back next time! See ya! Hailey out!
