Final Task Production: Technology
When recording the computer call I mentioned our small issue on setting up the angle. However, I did not explain how we played out the call. First, we did not use regular facetime because I do not own a Apple MacBook computer to gain that feature. This was our first area that Marissa, Kylee, and I discussed. I came up with the idea of using Google Duo which is free and already applicable to a computer if you have a google account. In this call you could view everyone just as we wanted so everything worked out perfect on that end.
Once we had our calling application problem worked out we then worked on to shooting the actual scenes. We had to use the tripod to record me and my computer, with Marissa and Kylee on call, on my desk. Since we were all in the same house, Marissa and Kylee had to move to different areas in my house to avoid an echo from the call. I told them to take their phones and record their voices, as we were acting on call, so we could overlay them speaking in editing to reduce potential poor sound quality.
I hope you enjoyed this blog today! Although technology is not the most exhilarating thing I find the way we handled the situation using technology very well! And I hope you do too, once you watch our final task of course! Thank you for sitting back and reading today's blog. Next time I will discuss the most fun part: recording the scary scenes! I am super excited to share my group and I's experience in recording these parts. See ya soon! Hailey out!
