Final Task Production: Props
Let's talk about overall props used in this project. Since my projects pitch is a pretty simple and almost everyday task, not the murder part of course haha, we did not need to gather many props that we did not have accessible in my groupmates and I's homes. In our opening scenes we did not need to gather any props because our two opening actors, Marissa and Kylee, were walking down the street like normal. Once back inside, Marissa used her phone to call our fake killer, Marissa's brother.
After the phone call we recorded Marissa handing her brother a costume. He received a fake knife and an all black outfit, along with a ghost face mask. The costume was important for us to portray his scary character and overall theme of my movie.
We also used regular, everyday items like a computer, phone, and makeup tools to ensure that the movie was realistic and natural to us when we were acting.
The props were very important to us when filming to make sure that we could express our pitch and idea for our movie through use of items that added to our horror theme. Through this I learned that anything could be a prop in a movie and every item makes such a big difference even if it is the smallest item.
That is all for today! I hope you enjoyed this blog! See ya, Hailey out!
