Production Blog: Filming My Video

Hello! Welcome back!! Last time I wrote in my blog about changing the three ending scenes to my music video. I hope you liked the new idea! Anyways, since then me and my group have began filming for our video. Unfortunately, we have not got to the changed scenes so I can not speak on that experience yet. However, I will tell you about our filming experience so far! Lets begin.

Going into the day we started filming, I had some suspicions about how the camera angles, movements, and shots would look but once we began shooting scenes I gained confidence in my group and I's abilities. We first started off gathering boxes and as they filmed, I acted as though I was packing up my belongings. We filmed different shots to emphasize the scene and add a somber effect.

The next scenes that we filmed were outside so we had to make sure the weather was not going to be poor. In these scenes, I had to walk to our car and put boxes in the trunk. I did my best to avoid looking at the camera since our music video is more realistic. Since nobody in our group can drive, I had to act as though I was driving through the driving scenes.

Overall, for our first day of filming, I enjoyed acting in our video. I learned new techniques to make our video look more day to day situations. I avoided making eye contact with people that were filming in my group and remembered to act as though I was natural and not being filmed. I believe that in the next few scenes we have to film that I will be better when it comes to acting.

Next time I will be fully done with the filming process and I will have more information to share especially when dealing with the car crashing scenes. Stay tuned for my next blog! I hope you enjoyed today's one. As always, Hailey out!
