Final Task Production: Editing
Hello everyone!! Welcome back to today’s blog! So, you have read my group and I’s filming progress and you are caught up on how our project is going so far. As the last two projects, once filming is finished it’s time for editing!! Enough with the chit chat already! Let’s get into it.
After filming, my group and I had to discuss which editing software we will use. Since this is not our first time working together we made our decision quite easily. We decided to use CapCut which is perfect for me because I was rooting for CapCut since the beginning! I loved using CapCut in my previous projects because it is so easy and actually makes me enjoy the process. As a group and separately we have used this software before which is why I suggested we used it again.
Kylee is our designated editor for this project but we have all decided to help her and pitch in when needed. She edited our music video and did an amazing job overall! I love her style and the way she makes our scenes run so smoothly! I am also experienced with editing so I will be helping her out with ideas on how she should lay out the scenes to ensure the best results! Marissa helps both of us in the overall process as well.
So let’s talk about what we have put together so far! For our first scenes I edited in some of the different angles that I suggested we filmed in the filming process. Although this feature may change I think that it looks good by itself but it’s up to how the whole video runs with it. Since Kylee is our editor I do not have to edit much because she works quickly and efficiently with her work. But, I still have access to go in and watch her progress and discuss any changes that I believe will better the flow of our video. Kylee and Marissa are great with including my ideas and suggestions.
That’s all I have for today everybody! I hope you enjoyed my blog today! See you next time, Hailey out!
